Fort DeRussy in Oahu, Hawaii

Fort Derussy was built in 1915 in order to protect Honolulu and Pearl Harbor in the US territory of Hawaii. This fort has some high-rises for military visitors, and low-rise building. This place is very close to Waikiki Beach. You can walk from Waikiki area to Fort DeRussy.
Fort DeRussy in Honolulu is one of five Forts DeRussy in the United States. The other four forts (two in Louisiana, one in Kentucky, and one in Washington, D.C.) were all built during the American Civil War.

In addition to its various artifacts recalling WW2, this fort is also a very nice walking area.
