Diamond Head Crater is recognized as a National Natural Landmark. The U.S. Army built a maze of tunnels and topped the rim with concrete observation bunkers in 1909. The world famous profile of the crater is something to know. This domineering mountain on Diamond Head Road in Honolulu must be one of the most photographed landmarks in all of Hawaii.
