Sunset Beach is one of the longest sand beaches in Oahu with over two miles in length. This beach is a classic spot for surfing due to its strong waves and challenging breaks. Visitors should be careful when entering the sea. Sunset Beach is one of the North Shore's most popular beaches for swimming, snorkeling, and surfing.

Sunset Beach offers natural beauty in the Hawaiian summer with its wide beach plus crystal clear water, as well as various activities. This beach stretches over two miles in length and 200-300 feet wide. In the Summer when the wave is calm, this beach has crystal clear water and beautiful white sand. The beach is great for swimming and snorkeling.

Because of its strong waves, Sunset Beach attracts expert surfers from all parts of the world. This beach is also the site of the World Cup of Surfing. ;;;
Visitors should be careful of the Sunset Rip, a notorious riptide current off shore. Take extra caution during the winter season when waves can reach as high as twenty five feet.
