Waialae Beach Park is more popular for picnicking than swimming. This beach is located in Kahala avenue. This beach is one of the most requested wedding location. It is a park with a nice variety of scenery, excellent for taking pictures. This beach is a free public beach with pavilions, restrooms, and easy parking. And, you have breathtaking Koolau Mountains in the background.

Waialae Beach Park or Kahala Beach
is one of the prettiest coastlines on Oahu for your photo shooting. This park has a beautiful lawn area with palm trees as well as a sandy beach and a bridge crossing a canal. Just going down the beach about a block, there is a small peninsula that leads out to a small tropical island with lots of grass and some palm trees.
This is a great spot for sunrise weddings and fabulous for photos. It is a beautiful beach park just 20 minutes from Waikiki. Parking lot and street parking available.

How To Get There

1. Drive down Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki

2. Drive around Diamond Head along the coast (Diamond Head Rd.).

3. Diamond Head Rd. turns into Kahala Ave. Drive until you see Waialae Beach Park on the right side, just before you reach Waialae Country Club or Kahala Mandarin Hotel.
