Travel to Maui

There’re some airlines that fly directly from the mainland to Maui such as United Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. The other airlines fly to Honolulu, where you’ll have to arrange an interisland flight (Hawaiian Airlines or Aloha Airlines) to Maui.

Kahului airport at Maui is very small which might cause delays for baggage claim and rental car pickup.

Getting Around in Maui

Visitors can get around Maui in many ways; car rentals, bicycles, mopeds, shuttles, taxis. Since there’s no island wide public transportation service, rental car is the most effective way to travel around Maui. Cars are available for rent every day.

Keep in mind that Maui doesn’t have many main roads. And that means visitors could expect to encounter with traffic jams in many popular areas.
Maui Bus System provides very limited service.
