Garden of the Gods (Keahiakawelo),
located seven miles north of Lanai City, is the Lanai’s
ultimate attraction. These unique rock formations were
formed by thousands of years of erosion creating pinnacles
and buttes in one remote canyon area. But one legend
indicates that the rocks and boulders were dropped from the
sky by the gods tending their gardens. The best time to
visit the garden is during the early morning. |
