Kalalau Beach is a beach on the Nā Pali
Coast. This beach is the most famous wilderness shoreline
hiking destination in Hawaii. It is the final destination of
the Kalalau Trail, one of the most challenging trails on the
Hawaiian Islands. The beach is aaround 1 mile long. The
beach has high surf, due to the lack of off shore reefs to
break the waves.
Swimming is good during periods of calm seas, in the summer.
Dangerous water conditions occurs during the winter and
spring months.
