Kilauea Lighthouse is one of Kauai's
most popular attractions. The Lighthouse attracts
thousands of tourists to see bird watch, the sweeping cliff
and ocean vistas. It was the largest clamshell lens in the
world when it was built in 1913. It used to function as a
pivotal navigation aid for ships sailing on the Orient run.
The lighthouse is now a symbol of the town.
The lighthouse is a good place to visit, but the real show
is the birds. It is a bird sanctuary where visitors will
