Punaluu Beach Park is the largest
black-sand beach on the island. This is a perfect place to
enjoy the beautiful scenery, explore the black-sand beach,
watch the sea turtles. If you go to Hawaii, you have
to see a black sand beach! It is a weird thing to see for
the first time. |

Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles can be seen on this beach,
sunbathing on the warm sand. You can even swim with the
turtles but please don't touch them. Visitors must remain 15
feet from the turtles at all times. Taking black sand and
volcanic rocks from the area is prohibited.
