Kaunaoa Beach (Mauna Kea Beach) is a delightful white sand
beach with clear
water and moderate surf. Good snorkeling spots can be found at the
left end of the beach. The beach is well maintained
with excellent facilities. It was named America’s best beaches by “Dr.
Beach”. This gold-sand beach has been the top vacation
destination among
America's corporate chiefs for several decades. |
Swimming and snorkeling are good most of the year, except in rare winter
storms. It's one of the most photographed beaches on the
island.
